Why I have created this website.
OK, its Monday 3 March 2008. This is my first time to create a website devoted to weight loss and the dangers of
rapid weight loss diet pills and weight loss supplements. Why am I creating this website?
Well, two main reasons. Firstly, I genuinely want to reach out to all fat or overweight people in the world. I feel your pain with your daily
struggles in life, in many cases, always resorting to rapid weight loss diet pills and weight loss supplements.
Secondly, I'd like to create a community of people whose main goal is to lose weight and at the same time provide
tips and hints on how they actually have lost weight and kept the weight off.
The Fat Epidemic in America and Australia
I am sure there are other countries that have this epidemic but the media has always singled out America/Australia as countries in a health
crises. So many rapid weight loss diet pills and weight loss supplements have been sold, but the fact of
the matter is, no one has solved this fundamental problem ie how to lose weight and keep the weight off. Millions of Americans and Australians
are fatter as ever. Large portions, super sizes, and fast food all contribute to this epidemic. Losing weight and keeping the
weight off seems to be the unsolvable problem, despite millions of diet books, and weight loss pills and programs have been sold.
Weight Loss vs Healthly Life Style
For any overweight person, their primary goal should be gaining a healthy lifestyle. Never simply consider losing weight
only. If only losing weight is the main focus, chances are you will gain it back quickly. Some quick loss diets or pills do work, but they are
generally unhealthy and always guarantee that your weight will come back.

Practical Tips for those struggling to Lose Weight
For a start, make a list of what you normally eat on a daily basis. You will be amazed on how much you eat. Forget counting calories. Note the
number of times you eat and how much quantity you have. By doing this, you will come to a conclusion that most likely you are eating food good
for 2 persons..definitely overeating.
Watch your Fat Content.
Always go for little oil in your food. If you need to use oil, use olive oil. The Mediterranean diet is a healthy diet. And most people are
healthy by having this diet.
Watch your Sugar
Sugar makes you fat..period. Watch out for those 97% fat free labels. They may be fat free but they have loads of sugar. For example, i used
eat yogurt a lot. I thought it was healthy and it was supposed to help me lose weight. All I saw was I was getting fatter and fatter! Another one
to watch is your fruit juices. These have lots of sugar, even if they are natural fruit sugar.
Watch your Rice/White Bread
Well, this is healthy but I tend to easily get fat on it. I don't know why. It must be the portions I eat.
Avoid Potato Chips/Potato
If you believe the Low GI Diet, this is one of the worst things you could ever eat. Again, potato chips has so much fat into it..taste good
but you will really put on weight.
Avoid Take Away Food
Burgers, fries, softdrinks, ice cream, pizza..all of these have loads of fats and sugars. If you want to drop a few kilograms, start removing
or reducing these items in your food list.
Avoid Some Fruits
Grapes, and mangoes have so much sugar in it. This basically means it can easily make you fat.
Only have little of them if possible.
Reduce Meat intake/Increase Chicken and Fish
If you have to eat meat, choose low fat.
Avoid Fried Foods
Fried Rice, fried noodles, fried chicken, and chips should be reduced at all costs.
Do some exercise
Do a brisk walk of 30-45 minutes three times a week. On alternate days, do some weight training.
This will make you feel good, and give you a better sense of wellbeing.
Don't go for Rapid weight loss diet pills or weight loss supplements
They will only work for you in the short term but will definitely be regained. Aim for a healthy lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle will reduce
your chances of being overweight and getting metabolic disease like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes.
Finally, always plan your meal times
For example, main meals are breakfast is at 8 am, lunch is at 1 pm, dinner is at 6 pm. Snacks occur at 10 am and 4 pm.
PS - Never ever again resort to dangerous rapid weight loss diet pills and weight loss supplements ever
again!
